Stop DVT

http://www.preventdvt.org

March is National Prevent DVT Month. Please check this website to see if you or someone you love is at risk for this condition that takes so many lives each year. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) took the life of David Bloom (pictured her with Kurt and I)and his wife Melanie is now it's spokesperson. His death was so sad and could have been prevented if he and others would have been more educated on the signs of DVT.

What a great picture! Wasn't that when you announced to the world that you were pregnant? How sad that the David Bloom is dead. He looked so young!

Yes, this was taken when we announced we were "finally" pregnant. David Bloom came over to talk with us and went on and on to Kurt about how he was going to love being a Dad. He said how much he enjoyed his 3 daughters. I sent this pic to Melanie Bloom after he died and told her what he told Kurt. She wrote me back a beautiful hand-written note. She was just on Larry King and is so brave talking to people about DVT... you can tell she is not over his death.
